There is a lot of difference between a 5 star hotel and a 3 star hotel. A 5 star hotel is a live expression of lavishness and luxury. Whereas a 3 star hotel is meant for travelers who can compromise a bit on facilities offered at the hotel in exchange for more relaxed and reasonable rates. Coming in the broad list of upper budget hotels, at 3 star hotels value paid is definitely worth the services offered at many of the luxury hotels.

Big name 5 star hotels often charge big amount of money in the name of comforts and extra comfort services offered by them. These hotels are best suited for guests with big pockets like the usual business travelers. These set of travelers are constantly on their business trips and are looking for a respite in the form of a lavish hotel offering pampering facilities on their services list. On the other hand, the popular 3 star hotels are the budget hotels.

Popular metropolitan cities like New Delhi in India receive hundreds of travelers on everyday basis. These travelers search for hotels to stay during their trip. Most popular among the hotel types are the budget and discount accommodation options that are not only reasonably priced but also are situated at places near to the local attractions and thus making it easier for the guests to visit the local attractions of a particular city.

Thus it is evident that there is a lot of difference between 3 star and 5 star hotels, but both types of hotel are uniquely preferred by the different class of leisure travelers and business visitors.
